Parent Carers Together (PCT) is a friendly parent carer forum set up to represent the voices of Parent Carers of children and young people (0-25 years) with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND) in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole (BCP).
Parent Carers Together is a voluntary group of parents and carers of disabled children who are working together to make sure the services in the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole local area meet the needs of children with SEND and their families.
We will do this by gathering the views of local families and then working in partnership with local authorities, education settings, health providers and other providers to highlight where local services, processes and commissioners are working well or challenge when changes or improvements need to be made.
The forum needs lots more parents to get involved.
We have a dedicated steering committee who are working together to develop the forum (find out more about the Steering Group in the “about us” section of the website).
We would love to hear from you if you would like to volunteer some time or if you would just like to hear more about the work we are doing and how we hope to improve outcomes for local families.
What is a Parent Carer Forum and What do Parent Carers Together do to Represent you? this document outlines what is a parent carer forum and how many meetings Parent Carers Together have attended from September 2019-September 2020 acting on behalf of SEND BCP families.
