*Further BCP SEND Team Update Including Management Details*
Earlier this month, Parent Carers Together informed our members by various means of a restructure within the BCP SEND team resulting in the use of a 3 Pod Model based on year groups:
• Nursery – End of Year 7 = Primary Pod
• Years 8 – 11 = Secondary Pod
• Years 12 – Adult = Post 16 Pod
We advised that this may change who the EHCP Case Officer is for some families.

For those whose children/young person are out of school e.g. Education Other Than at School (EOTAS) there are also 3 specialist officers (1 per age-group 'pod') who are focused on Alternative Provision (AP), EOTAS and Children Missing Education, please refer to the list below to identify your Coordinator:

In response to our original communication to families, we were asked about the SEND management structure and we can now inform you of the Managers of each team. If ever you do not receive a reply from a Case Officer within 3 working days, you can escalate your request to the appropriate Manager:
Primary Pod:

• Assistant Team Manager -Tania Christopher and Monika Pardo
Secondary Pod:
• Team Manager -Sarah Dendle (leaving 20th December, recruitment underway)
• Assistant Team Manager- Teresa Hegarty

• Assistant TM -Liz Maclure
In addition, the Council have introduced a new online booking system for parents to meet with their child’s Case Officer for up to 15 minutes. As a forum, we are keen to hear from all families whether your child is in school, in Alternative Provision (AP) or receiving Education Other Then at School (EOTAS) support how efficient you are finding the system and if in your opinion, you are meeting with the Case Officer in a timely manner.
