Who We Work With
Parent Carers Together work in partnership with BCP, NHS Dorset (formally known as Dorset CCG) and other service providers including Healthwatch, Dorset Parent Carer Council and local parent and carer SEND groups.
SEND Awareness Video
We helped develop this video with NHS Dorset (Dorset Clinical Commissioning Group at the time) as part of the SEND Tier 1 Awareness Training.
What is Co-production?
Co-production occurs when there is an equal partnership with people using services, in our case, parents and carers of children and young people with SEND. Working in co-production can really support and empower those families with children with SEND.
True co-production occurs when parent carer forums (including Parent Carers Together) are fully and equally involved in the decision-making process and actively participate in shaping, developing, implementing and evaluating services and systems.
This video ‘Co-production: from words into actions’ shows forums, local authorities (councils), health providers and commissioners sharing their experiences of working in co-production and how it helped them to improve services in their local community.
