JUST ACT NATURAL: be in nature, be yourself.
If you have a young person with SEND between the ages of 16 – 25 years and they are progressing towards semi-independent living, GROWING INDEPENDENCE is for them. The course is at Magdalen Farm from Friday 1st August to Sunday 3rd August. 1:00pm start on the Friday and 12:45 finish on the Monday.
Young people will learn alongside their peers from skilled staff by working outside on the farm, preparing and cooking with Magdalen chefs, and doing their laundry and cleaning their rooms with housekeeping staff.
The young people learn team work, socialise and have fun in a supportive, non-judgmental environment.
We ask that a parent or carer is on hand should they be required. This is a perfect opportunity to take some time out and relax at the farm or use Magdalen’s Wi-Fi to work remotely.
The sleepover is part funded by the Lottery Community Fund. Funding is for young people from Somerset, Dorset and BCP primarily but please contact if you live in Devon or further afield in the South West. We ask for a contribution of £53 per young person and per parent/carer. Please phone Magdalen on 01460 30144 if you need help with the cost. Additional family members can attend for cost. They will not be able to participate in the course.
Booking is essential. Please book on
