Parent Carers Together were delighted to host the first PCT SEND Information Day on Thursday 23rd April, the event was formerly known as the Local Offer Live but parents and carers felt the title didn’t explain what the event was about.
We held the PCT SEND Information event at Citygate Church, Holdenhurst Road, Bournemouth.
The purpose of this event was for services, organisations, and professionals from across BCP to showcase the support available to children and young people with SEND and their families.
Parents and carers were able to walk around, pick up literature and speak to people from:

*BCP Carer Support
*Mental Health Support Team in Schools

There were workshops from SENDiass4BCP on the SEND reform and a workshop on the EHCNA process. Within the SEND Reform workshop, parents raised some valid points and asked those challenging questions.
Lisa Linscott (Director of Education and Skills, BCP Council) lead on a question and answer session in the main hall.
A children’s craft and fidget table was available.
As parents were leaving, we invited them to leave a word or comment on a post it note to describe the day. Feedback included:
