Video of a family’s visit to Marsham Court hotel in Bournemouth

We were kindly gifted a stay at @marshamcourt and it’s one of the UK’s fully accessible hotels and honestly, it blew us away. ⁣ ➡️ Accessible rooms with hoists ➡️ Level access + a front entrance lift ➡️ Accesible changing spaces ➡️ A sensory room William adored ➡️ And a swimming pool he did not want to leave ⁣ We took William’s @safeplacebeds with us, so he was comfortable and safe and that peace of mind is everything when you’re travelling as a SEND family. ⁣ This hotel didn’t just tick boxes. It made us feel seen. ⁣ 🧡 Inclusion like this shouldn’t be rare, but it is. So we’ll keep shouting about it. #GiftedStay #AccessibleTravel #SENParent #AutismFamily #Autism #Autistic #Accessible #Hotel #accessibleHotel #DisabilityAwareness #ChangingPlaces #SensoryRoom #SafePlaceBed #MarshamCourt #AutismMum #FamilyTravel #InclusionMatters

Watching Jude or Tommy have a meltdown, has always been the hardest part of parenting for me. When they’re so upset, so out of control, it can be heartbreaking, and leave you feeling helpless, especially when they can’t tell you what’s wrong. Here’s a few things I’ve learnt over the years that have worked with them. Anyone got any other tips? ❤️ *You can listen to our full conversation on the hidden20podcast on all podcast platforms 🎧 🫶
